On its 14th search this year, the National Youth Commission, as one of the organizers, strongly supports the search for the Ten Accomplished Youth Organizations (TAYO) in the Philippines.

TAYO is a Filipino term for “WE” and it is also the acronym for “Ten Accomplished Youth Organizations” (TAYO) Awards. It is the Philippine’s only award-giving body that recognizes and supports the outstanding contributions of youth organizations to the country. It aims to recognize, reward, and encourage youth organizations all over the country with programs and projects that help their communities. It inspires us to find innovative solutions and to challenge the status quo through the organizations to which they belong.

As an institution, the TAYO Awards Foundation has successfully gained credibility and prominence in the recognition and support of extraordinary and outstanding contributions of youth organizations in the country. Since its inception in 2002, it has attracted more than two thousand youth organizations from all over the Philippines to join the search. These exceptional groups have contributed to the development of their local communities, schools, and workplaces, through their innovative and valuable projects.


The Search is open to all groups, barkadas, organizations, clubs, and societies whose membership and leadership is composed of at least (5) who belong to 15-30 years old age group are qualified to join the Search. Each of these organizations will be judged based on the following criteria:

  1. Their project’s impact on its stakeholders
  2. The project’s means of harnessing the spirit of volunteerism
  3. The project’s creativity and innovation
  4. The project’s sustainability; and lastly,
  5. The project’s effective use of resources

The 10 winning organizations will be awarded a cash grant worth Php 50,000 each intended to fund new projects or to continue their long-term programs, courtesy of TAYO’s presenter, Coca-Cola Foundation Philippines, Inc. and a trophy sculpted by well-known and highly respected sculptor Mr. Toym De Leon Imao.

On its 14th Search, according to TAYO Awards Foundation, this year’s Search envisions to be the point of convergence and collaboration among all organizations in the country and make the Search the source of newest innovative and creative ideas from the youth sector. It hopes to introduce new methods of looking for the best organizations in the country by incorporating innovation and sustainability in the process. The Search will not only about competing with different organizations in the country but will rather highlight the opportunity for youth organizations to drastically improve their projects and the chance to collaborate with other organizations for new projects or ventures.

The annual TAYO Awards is organized by the TAYO Awards Foundation, Inc., the National Youth Commission, and the Office of Senator Bam Aquino. This year’s search is presented by The Coca-Cola Foundation Philippines and supported by SMART Communications, Jollibee, Philippine Airlines, and Lenovo.
